My dear Clergy, Sisters and Brothers – all the faithful of our Holy Church,
CHRIST IS AMONGST US! IS AND ALWAYS SHALL BE!
"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the Church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up.” (Epistle of James 5:14-15)
I ask you to keep His Eminence Archbishop Daniel in your prayers over the next several days. Vladyka was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday evening suffering from pain in his side and back. After thorough physical examination and testing, his physicians decided to keep him nearby for observation to determine the source of the pain in case it was a reoccurrence of his illness of nearly three years ago. I was able to have a lengthy visit with him this afternoon and am happy to report that even in pain, he has not lost his sense of humor! He was able to speak with his mother and family in Buchach, Ukraine to assure them that he was doing well and being well cared for.
I ask for your continued prayers for the Archbishop's rapid return to full and good health and he expressed to me how much those prayers benefitted him many times before, enabling him to very quickly resume all normal activity in service to our Lord and to all of you . My dear Brother in our Lord's Vineyard, Archbishop Daniel, is a blessing to us all. He works tirelessly for our spiritual well-being and through the efforts of our Church, our faithful and hundreds of friends and neighbors of our Church, he has managed millions of dollars of Christian aid, ensuring that it reached the people most in need throughout Ukraine .
Please join me in offering your fervent prayers for a quick recovery of Vladyka Daniel. May our God bless and keep you all in the best of spiritual, physical and emotional life.
In our Lord's All-Encompassing Love,
+ ANTONY By the Grace of God, Metropolitan |
